Francesca and Piero took over the operation of Fattoria COLLE VERDE’s vineyards, olive tree groves and farmhouses in 1989 after having lived in Rome for many years where they both worked as film & TV producers.
The decision to relocate to the country was some kind of “homecoming” for Francesca, whose family has owned this property for generations.
Over the years, they dedicated tremendous time and energy to ensuring that COLLE VERDE remains a place that provides the high level of hospitality expected by our guests while respecting the rich agricultural traditions and maintaining the distinct cultural heritage and unique quality of life of this special region of Italy.

In the process of finding a successor who is sharing the same passion, respect and ideas for biodynamic agriculture, traditions, cultural heritage and hospitality Francesco and Piero met Katrin, Patrick and Aurelia. Being superstitious or not – sometimes fate simply takes its course and as of October 2019 they are extremely proud and happy to be the new owner family of Fattoria COLLE VERDE. Remaining a family-owned Fattoria it is their objective to keep the spirit of the long history of COLLE VERDE alive and it will be a pleasure for them and their team to welcome you to this special place and share many happy memories with you.
